Cast/Crew
Jenni Caruso
Jenni Caruso
Director
Jenni has been acting since the age of 7 and directing and choreographing multiple productions since college. She was first seen on The New Depot Players’ stage as Mother Superior in Nunsense: The Mega Musical and reprised that role in Sister Robert Ann's Cabaret Class.  Jenni has directed The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee two times before and is thrilled to bring one of her favorite shows to the NDP stage. As the Theatre Director of Salem High, Jenni was overjoyed when her students won the 4AAAA Regional One Act competition with Spelling Bee this year.  This show is near and dear to Jenni’s heart for a few reasons.  She loves that all of the characters are underdogs with very real struggles. You root for each and every one of them.  Jenni loves the irreverent nature of this show. It pushes the boundaries in a delightfully fun way. She also loves that it is truly an ensemble piece. Everyone has a chance to shine and tell their story.  Jenni would like to thank The New Depot Players for inviting her to direct.  Jenni thanks her amazing cast and crew for working their derrières off this summer. She would especially like to thank her family: her father-in-law, Rick Caruso, for always stepping up to help her with designs and building; her sweet daughters, Fiona and Zola for letting mommy miss some bedtimes (“I love you both to the moon and back”); and especially her husband, Nick (“Thanks for being an amazing husband and daddy. I love you and I am ‘the luckiest’!”).  Jenni would like to dedicate this show to her mom and dad and Symaya Fields.

In the past, he has performed in a multitude of comedic roles including Wilbur from Hairspray, Charlie Brown from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Leaf Coneybear from The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and a multitude of other roles. In Jack's opinion, though, this role has been his favorite and most challenging stage experience to date.
J. Garrett Mitchell
J. Garrett Mitchell
Lenny Ganz
This is Garrett’s third show with The New Depot Players where he will be playing the role of Lenny. Soon to be 22, Garrett began acting at a relatively late age.  His first show was not until four years ago when he auditioned for the high school play on a whim and was cast in a lead role as Shaw in Footloose.  He found a fondness for acting with that role and was in a second production that same year where he played the role of the Foreman in the Oxford Youth Singer’s production of Les Misrables. Having returned from a semester abroad in France, Garrett is a last semester Senior at Georgia State University where he will soon earn his Bachelor’s in Film as well as a double minor in Theater and French.  Garrett has recently begun working on a side project with several friends for which they produce Sketch Comedy scripts and videos. His work with this strictly comedic play has become a great source of inspiration and entertainment for him, and he hopes it will do the same for all who see this production of Rumors.
